Los Blancos has shared the stage with a huge range of stellar musicians, including being the sole support opener for Little Feat, Los Lobos, The Derek Trucks Band and The Radiators. They have also shared bills all over the country with: Gov't Mule, Irma Thomas, Robert Cray, Double Trouble, Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard, Gatemouth Brown, Molly Hatchet, Magic Dick & J. Geils, Jeff Healey, Pinetop Perkins, and jammed with Jimmy Johnson, Terrance Simien, Merl Saunders, Hubert Sumlin, Bernard Allison, Luther Kent, Joe Beard, and many, many more.

Here is just a sample of the good things people all over the place have to say about Los Blancos

"This is one of the best CDs I've heard in the last decade. The material is gorgeous and full of soul. These great musicians can't be denied."

Ronnie Earl

"Like most great working bands, Los Blancos know the blues well, but shine in a variety of roots based styles."

Daren Dortin, Beale Street Caravan

"I'm an old man, and I've played all over the world, and this is the best band I have EVER played with"

Hubert Sumlin (but he'll say anything)

"Los Blancos' eclectic mix of material is right up this city's alley. It's a blues band to be sure, but there are also moments of Latin Jazz, Tex-Mex, Soul, and Rhythm and Blues. You know these guys are on the right track!"

The Gambit Weekly-New Orleans, LA

“The very solid four are at the top of their game...(Los Blancos) set a high bar for headliner Gov’t Mule to clear”.

Mark Bialzak, The Post Standard-NY

“If Los Blancos is any indication of what’s happening up there, they for sure got it going on! Los Blancos is a stripped-down four-piece combo that packs a big punch-and a hell of a good time-into one small package.”

Vintage Guitar Magazine

"Much like NRBQ this is a band that completely owns an audience. Los Blancos are packed solid with musical ammo...this disc is a whole lotta fun!"

Mark E. Gallo-Minnesota Blues On Stage

“The most impressive debut this reviewer has heard, or expects to hear for some time. I am reminded of my first impression of the band Little Feat...this disc redefines the term ‘breakout recording’.”

Mike “Red Dog” Downes, Blues Connection Magazine

“***** 5 out of 5 Stars...the band plays hot blues, funk, and rock riffs...and plays Latin-flavored blues-rock with a flair that would make Santana proud. Aberdeen’s vocals are from the gut and full of emotion and passion...and the rhythm section cranks along with a powerful beat.”

Philip H. Farber, The Daily Freeman- Woodstock NY

“Their wide scope includes Blues, Funk, Zydeco and even ballads. They are a strong, tight unit and have established their own identity. The music of Los Blancos has become synonymous with dancing blues at it’s best.”

Handy Award Winner Jim Murphy, Director New York State Blues Festival

“Los Blancos delivers one of the most diverse sets I have ever heard. Blues, R&B, Latin, Rock, and a touch of Jazz blending effortlessly... Los Blancos’ range of style is nothing short of phenomenal. Their last performance at Franco’s rated among the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. No doubt about it...these guys are GOOD!”

Billtown Blue Notes-PA

“More fun than an inflatable doll.”

Tom Townsley, WAER FM, Blues Review Magazine

"A rhythm section who can shuffle one minute, second-line the next and lay down a Latin groove in between is nothing but good news as far as I'm concerned. I'll skip over all the discussion of whether this is a blues album or not; you and your friends can handle that over a few tall and frosty ones some night when I'm not around. Repertoire and genre are about what you can get away with, and the Blancos get away with a lot. Luckily for us, they've had the presence of mind to get some of it on tape."

David Hamburger, Guitar Player Magazine

"A rich stew of well-executed boogie-worthy tracks and ditties. The sound of a hollowbody guitar played well, slipping and striding over an easily accessible blanket of drum and organ is a comfortable sound. Jazzy enough to be rich, bluesy enough to have soul, rocking enough to have that kick -- and then the vocals of a large man singing of timeless things like love (and lust) and jealousy and hurt. Strong vocals shepherd the songs through their paces, hitting just enough passion to be convincing, getting throaty when the moment calls for it, at times reminiscent of the younger days of ZZ Top and Van Morrison."

Derek Kipp, Jambands.com

"There is something eminently appealing about Louisiana and its culture. Zydeco, Cajun, roots, blues, jazz...it’s simply just appealing. I’ve never met anyone who’s been there who hasn’t been caught up in the vibe. Los Blancos is one of those kinds of bands that exemplify all that is great about Louisiana, they rock, they roll, they smolder and they KNOW the blues...and gawd hep ya if you’re in the room when they throw down, cuz you’re gonna git caught up in the frenzy! Backbeat Rhythm is one of those songs that has it all … screamin’ git, snarling sqeeze, and howling vocals. It ain’t brain surgery or rocket science, but it sure does cook!"

But WAIT!!! Thats not all!
The thousands of folks who review music at garageband.com, godsofmusic.com, bluesbytes.com (and a whole mess of other sites), continue to let us know they like what we're doing! Here is just a small sampling of our reviews from all over the net:

"I am so into this it ain't even funny. This is better than my birthday and the Fourth of July rolled up into one - and I really dig a holiday that allows me free reign to blow stuff up. The slide is making my blood boil and I'm hoping you treated your rhythm section to a well deserved break after tearing through this one. The ol' boy on the accordian is tougher than Chinese arithmetic, and the vocals were right on. The mood? Let's just say I listened to it three times and now my neck is sore - I'd never played "air accordian" until this evening... One of the best tracks I've heard since I've been reviewing music here. WELL DONE, BOYS!

"Awesome! Something different, something catchy, cool guitar hook. Wow I really love it, I love the squeeze box. This is very original musically and vocally. Nice mix, ladies and gentlemen we have a winner!"
Reviewed by: joeylooee East Meadow, NY

"Crazy Legs! Okay ...okay..let me get my breath...Man oh man I've got sweat stains I don't wanna talk about. All I wanted to do was listen to a tune and suddenly I'm up dancing all around the kitchen and downstairs. My wife and pets are hiding upstairs until the frenzied big man chills. Lord have mercy this music will flat wear you out! Oh oh there goes my foot again! Gotta GO!"
Reviewed by: BlackNapkins Gettysburg, PA

"Oh man, I love this stuff. Boogie blues! Cool. Enjoyable, toe-tapping, head-bobbing, finger-snapping, butt-wiggling music. Not a bad thing to say. I loved it."
Reviewed by: DalB from Petaluma, CA

"You’re out of breath by the end, whether you twirled your partner about the dance floor, your partner twirled you, or you sat behind your computer typing a review. If you like swing, it doesn’t come much better than this. The next time I’m at The Derby and jumpin’ and jivin’ is in the air, I can only hope someone as crisp as Los Blancos is on stage to keep the place, well, jumping and jiving!"

"Great stuff!!! Nothing wrong with this track...makes me feel like I'm back down south in Louisiana! Great stuff!!!"
Reviewed by: CarlWyatt Roundstone, Ireland

"I would like to be there...I would really have enjoyed sitting there in the audience, listening to this live. The recording is outstanding, nice to have such a good sound and still hear the audience chatting. The arrangement is a classic, nice, a little improvising, but still everything is on track. No unpleasant surprises, only fine listening. Relaxing. The guitar guy/girl is good indeed. Also like the vocals, they sound confident and relaxed. Soon you´ll be flying...

"Now this is blues, Louisiana style! Great beat, fine lyrics and well sung. Bass man is tops. Mood makes me wanta go to the Big Easy!"

"Smokin guitar, funky bass and tighter than a virgin, wow! Let me say this, I spent some time as the talent coordinator for one of the biggest independent entertainment agencys in North America, as well as being a fellow musician, so I have a very well trained ear. You guys have the tightest sound I have ever heard. At the pace of your beat, and the quickness at which you are all playing, that is impressive as hell. What a killer tune, and the vocals and lyrics are excellent. I'm 42 but damn, when I grow up I wanna play like you guys."

"The Real Thing. Really great gritty sound adds an authentic blues touch. The swirling organ fills in the background beautifully, and rises to the challenge nicely on selected solos. This is the real thing: great blues all around!

"You're on to something. The beat kind of gets under your skin, the organ definitly adds to that feeling. I would want to hear more after the first song!"

"Rocking Good Blues!Good guitar riffs and a solid singer from the soul pits are just two reasons why this song comes off so good. The organ and the drums spice the mix to a nice even mess of fine blues."
Reviewed by: reggieowens Elberton, GA

"Love it... a real nice song... great mood. This song is put together very nicely, performed even better, and should be the standard for bar room blues. The piano, the vocals, lyrics, and the guitar are absolutely great...I'd love to hear a studio version of this thing. "Grooviest rhythm" doesn't really do it justice, but thats as close as the labels get."
Reviewed by: DBNeufeld Bakersfield, CA

"Cool as hell, love this song. I think the live performance made me picture watching you play on stage, and how I haven't seen a good band in a long time. This song has an awesome feel to it. I like the words, very laid back, wish I was smoking a joint. Piano is sick. guitar lead is nice and slow, fits perfect, top of my list."
